Default For you guys up North

Just wanted to let you guys up north know that it is in the upper 80's to lower 90's here in the deep south! I even had to run the air conditioning in the shop to get it cool enough to do fiberglass! Got to love it now, but I am dreading July and August.

I've *heard* about that "air conditioning" you talk about...

Thanks for the update.

All the snow is gone here now and the ice is leaving the lakes rapidly. 40s and 50s are here.....perfect for working on the corvette. Now the problem is priorities. After the long winter the to-do list is pretty long. So it will be a couple more weeks for me before the projects begin. The good news is that the rains have washed the salt off the roads! I have had two short rides in the 72. The 91 is so buried in a storage building that it may be a few more weeks before it sees the light of day.......

Thanks for the warning.
Anything over 70 and I want my pool open.
B--U--T--ful here in Mass/NH ... about 60 and sunny today ... can't get much better.
This, and there is still good skiing only an hour north ... heaven.

I feel bad for you guys in the mid-west with the storm that won't move and all the tornado action.
Stay safe.

Here's a picture of me working on my '80 last month with the Minnesota air conditioning turn on - taken by my wife from the attached garage.

Insulated floor, insulated 2x6 walls, 12" insulation in the ceiling.

Default weather here is good

upper 70's and low 80's but...
we had to endure the worst ice storm back in January...

and after the ice melted..

now we're finally having the last of the debris hauled away.

First real winter we've had in several years...and prob. the coldest since the mid-70's.

No power for 12 days..were borrowing generators to keep the houses from freezing...temps dropped into the teens after the ice storm

Why do you put the insulation on the outside of the roof? that white stuff is the insulation, right?

Woke to an inch of new snow this morning, but the sun was out by noon here and melted it away. Finally supposed to be near 60 by this weekend for the first time of '07. I'm dying for a drive!

yeah, it's the blown insulation like for an attic. But the first sign of wind...and it's GONE!
