Miles,
I don't think the tank sticker adds much intrinsic dollar value per se, as its worth is more academic as support documentation.
The value would be in the actual options listed or specific drive train, depending on desirability.
Best,
Greg
With tank stickers now available on FLEABAY I put the added value on it's own at $0 dollars.IMHO it would have to backed up by a good bunch of original owner/dealership documentation.
Having this documentation makes the total sum of the parts more desirable which could be interpreted as worth more actual dollars but, as it's serial number specific to each car, its inherent value is nil.
...and, as Bill pointed out, these are also available in reproduction today.
Best,
Greg
I dont know the year but prior to certain one tank stickers did not have a vin number on them. Therefore it makes it difficult to prove a particular sticker is from a particular car.
As Greg has mentioned its value comes into play when trying to document that a car came with particular options. My sticker is un-readable with the exception of 'special hood'. In my instance I can document that my small block car came from the factory with a big block hood. Does it add value? I doubt it.
