'72 Grill restoration options
The eggcrate grills on my '72 need re-done. I'm having the car painted (a custom red) as I write and I am trying to figure out what to do with the grills. the '72 grills have that one piece integrated wrap-around chrome trim that includes the turn signal light. The chrome is "fair" ...not peeling but not great. Re-chrome of both is expensive, thought about powdercoating the whole piece gloss black..or something. Wondering if anyone has done anything other than stock restoration of these pieces?
