rear bumper

Does anyone know if the 75 rear bumper had the in dent for the lettering or was it the after market that came out with the corvette in dent on the rear bumper?

My bumper I took off is still some where at home but I think they were in set can know for sure tommorrow.

The OEM bumper had indents to align the letters during assembly. If you look at an original bumper, the holes for the letters are all different sizes. The indents allow some variance in the accuracy of the mounting holes so that the letters lock into the recess and appear straight even if the holes are not accurate. The aftermarket bumpers come both ways.
