4 post lifts - recommendations???

I agree with roadrocket. 8' isn't going to be enough height for a lift and two Vettes.

We have a 9'5" ceiling in our garage and with a BendPak 4-post, a C5 & C3 on top,
there is only 8" or so to raise the lift off the locks to get it down before I'd hit the ceiling.

But..... I did hear of one guy that made a recessed area up into his attic to get more height for just the top of his car to go up into. Kinda like a trayed ceiling in a bedroom I guess. I'm no carpenter and don't know what all that would take to do but it's something that might be worth looking into before you scrap the idea of a lift to store 2 cars.

I was thinking the same thing. If you just have attic (and not a bedroom or something) above your garage this could be done reasonably easy.

Disclaimer: you should consult a good carpenter and possible a structural engineer to ensure you don't do anything wrong in a structural area.
