Default Help from a 68 owner

I need to know how to install a new ignition tumbler. I have the old one out, I can put the new in, it turns to accessory position, on and start but when I put it in the off position which is where you pull the key out the whole tumbler pulls out. It does not seem to want to lock in. Any tricks to this one? Thanks

Well thats the big problem the tumbler that was in it was damaged, the key would pull out in any position, it came out I believe in the off position, I should have paid more attention, but looking for someone that has installed one, but I better not hold my breath, since Wilcox's parts said they sell very little of these. I might just look for a switch with the key and tumbler already install, but thought I would ask here first.

Its actually very easy to do. It should come out only in the Acc. position after putting a paper clip in the small hole in the tumbler and turning it counter clockwise.

It should just drop right in as long as the electrical part is in the acc. position. Then turning the key clockwise will lock it in.
