I've been considering a pair of polished Mickey T's or Motion repros for a vintage look, but I found these on Ebay today.....according to the ad they'll be available in polished and black as well.......not sure how they will look with red ignition leads over them, but I really like the orange powder coating
Those look higher than stock. I have aftermarket valve covers (cheap chrome plated Edelbrocks). I had clearance issues with the alternator. Had to dent the side. Can't see it on my car, but I would never dent valve covers as nice as those you posted.
I like those! I run my black wires under the headers. They are not in theway and it cleans up the engine bay. Get wires cut for under header use because they are longer. Does the seller have more? BTW.... for those trying for a period look blue & red fitting are out. Several places now make alum. colored, stainless or black that look good.
Here's what orange covers and red wires would look like. I think they look better than orange & yellow.
Hey Jug, that is the look I am going for. The set I bought are to short. My motor is a crate 454, I need sonething a little taller. Are those the short or the tall ones?

Those are actually two different sets. You can tell by the different PCV's.
The top set is actually chrome underneath. I can’t remember where I got them but they were used ….maybe for a Chevelle. I just painted them.
The bottom pic is a set that came with my ’87 454. I just cleaned them up and put about 10 coatts of Chevy Orange-Red hi-temp paint on them.
On Ebay....the sellers name is ansen eelco....do a search for yenko valve covers, then view sellers other items....

The alternator could kill this one for me....the covers on the 454HO crate look very short and the alternator is very close....bummer, but I'll do some measuring....

Which 454 crate do you have ???? As I said above the covers on mine look short.
I like those covers very much also. I would buy the wires and cut them to length and run them at the bottom of the valve covers instead of across them.
