I've read that 3m Automix 8115 is the best bonding adhesive out there. Can it be used to bond SMC to Metal, SMC to SMC...ect? Is it an all around adhesive for bonding anything to anything?

I am not sure. I have an '80. Gutted the interior and having problems finding a product to keep the carpeting on the back of the seats. It falls off on really hot days. Same thing on the side of console. Anyone have any ideas.

I have a tube of #8115 bonding adhesive,the instructions say it is designed to bond steel,aluminum,SMC and FRP. You can bond SMC and FRP to itself or to steel and aluminum. The best thing about this product is you have 90 minutes working time. A lot of guys on the C-1 forum are using this product to bond body panels and complete front ends. I plan on using it to bond the press molded front end on my 61. Bob

Did you try the 3M Super Trim Adhesive (08090)? I just finished replacing all carpet in my 82 and no issues. The carpet on the back of the seats was the toughest spot but it is staying on and I live in Houston.
