Default How to find options..

I was wondering how you find out what options a vette came with. Is there a good website that explains all of this? It is a '69 if that matters. Oh, and I also have the VIN and know how to decode that.

I got a copy of the dealer invoice on my car a couple years ago from GM. I'm not sure if their archives will go back to '69, though. It was a no charge service from GM. If you search the C3 forum archives you should be able to find the thread with the how-to and email link.

Protecto-plate tank sticker will list it all, if it's still there.

You will need original documentation with the car. No other accurate way to verify options since they all varied from car to car. The Corvette Blackbook will list options and tell you what they were, but that's a generic list per model year.

You can fill in some of the blanks by doing a walk around. Got power steering, AC, AT, power windows, tilt/tele, a big block, 350hp, etc? All of these are options, but any or all of them could have been added to your car after it left St. Louis.

Original paperwork remains the best source.

There *was* a sheet placed on top of the gas tank listing all options for that particular build.

Some people have had luck and found it in decent condition... most are long gone.

I think this tank sticker is long gone. Thanks for the help though.

I liked this site however it doesn't pin your specific car down. Interesting though. http://www.100megsfree4.com/corvette/1970/vet72.htm

At the bottom you can click on your year.............
