My brother-in-law is selling an old Monte Carlo to pay for my nephew's first car. It's loaded down with extra parts, so I went savaging. I was looking for a couple of old distributors that I knew were in there. You can never have enough spare parts. But check out what I found hiding in the trunk:
A little polish, little paint and they should be good to go again. And I couldn't beat the price! Now I've just got to decide how to finish them. Currently I've got a set of C4 valve covers that I refinished in red. Now do I paint these the same color red and polish the fins and logo, paint them back black, or polish them all the way out. Decisions decisions.
how hard is it to polish between the fins thinking of doing that on my L-82 covers on my '79.
otherwise I would go back black & sand the top portion back to bare metal - maybe even polish that (just the top of the raised portion) - hmmmm - I think I may have come up with something for my covers
