Luggage rack, need pics
The body shop called me and told me that they are having an issue with the new luggage rack. They tell me that the new rack has a set of big washers that look like they don't belong where the instructions place them. He says that the big metal washers mount on the outside of the car under the rack. Does anyone have any close up pics of a luggage rack from a '77 or comparable model that I could see. When I got the car, the rack was already off of it. Thanks all

The large washers go between the body and the supports (or legs) on the rack. Besides protecting the paint, the washers allow you to mount the rack as the mounting holes may not line up exactly. The washer will cover the mounting plug (forgot what the compression plug is called) so it won't look bad.
