Kalaway...your correct. He died in 05 I think. I remember hearing it on the radio. He fell down a flight of stairs of all things and died of head trauma. Bummer...

Speaking of meeting cool people, My wife and I just did a cruise that was put on by Sammy Hagar, Rose tours and carnival cruise lines. Long story short we hung with Michael Anthony 2 days after he and Sammy (and the rest of the A-hole no shows from Van Halen) were inducted into the Rock & Roll hall of fame. Michael got on the ship and cruised to Cabo San lucas with a group of about 200 of us. They played 3 private shows (2 on the ship with Hagars band and one with Sammy in his club in Cabo)
Talk about some down to earth dudes. About 8-10 of us partied with Michael until about 4:00AM after one of the shows on the ship and he even passed around his hall of fame award for everyone to check out saying "this is your award...if it weren't for you guys etc..." The dude was so down to earth...
Sammy Hagar met us at the pier in Cabo when the ship pulled in there and walked us all to his club for another show there. They also signed anything you put in front of them. The whole experience was so damn fun. All of them were so friggin down to earth. It's cool when people are just people. Those 2 (and Hagars band) had class...and even said "all we want to do is rock and have a damn good time"
