If you are referring to frame rot, a few spots to check on the Late Model C3's is the #2 and #4 body mounts, and the birdcage. The #2 body mount is located inside the driver's and passenger's kick panels. Remove the kick panels and poke around with a screwdriver to check for soft metal. Then crawl under the car and check on top of the frame in the same location. The drain holes in this area from the birdcage get clogged with debris and trap the water, causing rust.
Next check the # 4 body mount, all the way in the rear in back of the rear tire. It sets on the frame and is next to the gas tank. This mount will rot around the bushing and sometimes as bad as the entire mount will rot off.
Finally, check the birdcage around the front windshield frame and base.
Good Luck.
LOL, this is a very good tool one of the guys is developing for helping out new buyers. The bad thing is my car is in there TWICE!
My passenger floor pan and the pass side #2 mount from under the rocker channel is a Huge hole.
Some more examples and suggested fixes or a link to other guys fixes would be great
