Ok, my dash is almost back togeather now, I changed all the dash light bulbs, and the headlight switch. The problem is I have no dash lights. The light for the parking brake works, the light for the door and headlight warnings in the console work, the curtasy lights work, all the exerior lights work. The turn signal lights in the dash don't work either, nothing lights up. Could this be a fuse, or could something not be hooked up? I haven't checked the fuses yet as it was late last night when I got it put back togeather, just trying to figure out where to start tonight.
It is possible that all those bulbs are on the same fuse.
If the fuse checks out I would check your ground connections. The general dash illumination bulbs and the turn signal indicators are all grounded thru the counsole, speedo and tach cases. The headlight, seatbelt and parking brake lights have a 2nd wire on the lamp socket. An easy way to test the ground would be to touch a jumper wire from a good ground to the back of the speedo or tach housing. If they work with the light switch on and the jumper then you have a bad ground.
Do the center gage cluster bulbs work? All the dash lights come off the same fuse so if the center gage lights work and the speed/tech don't then you lost the ground to the speedo/tech assembly. To check it, run a temp ground wire from the frame and touch the metal parts of the speedo/tech. If they light, you found the problem. If they don't, then you lost power in the main grey wire that feeds the speedo/tech bulbs.

The only lights that work in the center guage cluster are the door and headlight warning lights, none of the just plain lights.
All of those are on the same circuit. Do you have power coming from the fuse? Check it with a Volt meter. Check both sides of the fuse. If you have power, then it has to be the ground wire which is screwed to the left upper hinge pillar. If you don't have power at the fuse (on either side) then there is a problem with the headlight switch since the fuse is powered by the green wire coming from the light switch. I would bet it's the ground wire.
so I went out and checked, the fuse looked good, but I changed it anyway. Now I have te turn signals working in the dash, and the heater light in the center console, but still no dash lights. I tried checking with a volt meter, but couldn't really get into it very well. I tried the ground jumper wire straight from the neg of the battery, still nothing.
