They are the same bolt pattern, just different back spacings. You can use adapters to space it out a it if you're wanting to use a late model wheel on a C3. Make sure they are hub centric specific for the front and rear hubs, which will be different.
I have seen lots of C-5 wheels for sale. Would these work with spacers? Not sure what you mean by "hub centric specific"
They are 17 x 8 1/2 front and 18 x 9 1/2 rear. They are asking $375 without the tires.
Those wheels will need at the least, a 2.5" adapter on each wheel to push them out far enough. 2.75" would be better for clearance.
Hub-centric means there is a bevel on the hub side of the adapter, so the lip of the hub actually fits inside the adapter. This fitting puts the weight of the car on the hub and adapter...not the studs. The studs will hold, but they can get out of round so to speak, and if you have an accident or hit a big pothole the studs run the risk of breaking.
Most adapters are hub-centric, but they need to be specific to your car, and know that front and rear are different.
Adapters, not spacers. Adapters bolt to the old studs, making a firm connection between hub, adapter and wheel. Spacers just shim the wheel out, which can cause the wheel to vibrate loose.
Thanks for the input and the offer. Im glad I asked becasue I was just going top throw them on, if I came across some I liked. Just wasnt sure if it could be done before I continued to look.
