Default VIN Help Needed

Back in 1980 I sold my 79 vette. It was an L82, t-tops, made in Bowling Green Ky. All I know is the last 6 numbers of the vin are 449657. That was the only readible part of the microfish copy.

Can someone fill in the rest of the numbers for me? Then where would you suggest I go to try to find current owner?

Thanks,

Don

Nope. All 79s were assembled at St. Louis. The plant at Bowling Green didn't open until June, 1981.

Try the Texas DMV. They might be able to tell you whether the car is registered in the Lone Star state.

Good luck with the hunt.
