Copies of build sheets have been found tucked in the wiring behind the speedo/tach; tucked in the wiring behind the center gauge cluster; behind either kick panel; tucked in the springs under a seat; and under the carpet in the rear storage area. This is not to say a copy of your build sheet would be in any of these places.
Contact the NCM and see if they have a copy of the build sheet for your car.
The museum does not have all build sheets for the 82. Some of the records were lost as is the case with my 82. However my build sheet is still on top of the gas tank.
