Anybody know where I can get the correct paint for my 69 rally wheels? I have tried paint from Paragon (OEM paint),and ecklers and neither one matches my original paint. I do NCRS and do not want to hear about my wheel color being wrong anymore. Thanks,Al
It's argent silver, paint code DAR 8568, local paint store should be able to mix it for you.
If going NCRS, paint back semi-gloss black then shoot front and allow some overspray onto the backs. You can also order the correct wheel weights that say 'micro' on them as well...and make sure they mount the weights on the inside.
I think '69 would have the silver with green tint. I forget for sure which years get regular argent silver and which ones get the silver with a touch of green but I am pretty sure you need the harder to find silver-green. Probably best to do a little trial and error at the paint store.

Yeah, they are supposed to have a light green hue to it. Next closest paint I know of is the 83' Maserati Smoky Quartz Metallic BC/CC, from what I read before.
Green tint Grass Green lacquer
Ditzler/PPG DE8586
DuPont 42153
R-M AT 114
Depending upon year, some of these wheels have a definite green tint to the silver; other years look more silver and less green. NCRS judging manual will probably mention whether your wheels would have a green tint.
