I know that I have read a post that was a detail on a seat cover install. My 73 leather seats are being a pain in the a... That trim piece that the seatbelt fits thru is killer with the new foam!
Just looking for that link, I did not find it when I did a search.
First... I can not get the foam to squeeze enough to get those cheezy little nuts on the trim on the front of the seat that the seat belt threads thru. (even with the help of my 18 year old son!) I am going to try and find some regular nuts that do not have to stick thru an extra 1/4 of an inch to reach.
Just pulling and stretching and getting those little clips on. I am ok where I can use the hog rings, they are quick... but those clips.
It has been a couple of months since I pulled them apart so some picts would be real nice.
I had the same problem.
Here is what you need to do.
Make sure that the holes you made in the seatcover for the trim piece
are aligned with the indentation in the foam. What is happening is that
you are trying to squeeze the headrest part of the foam and that is
impossible. You must get the seatcover that the trim is going to attach to, to line up with indentation in the foam. HTH
Thanks, I will go back and make sure the foam is lined up... but I think it is.
Sombody posted detailed step by step instructions with pictures, on here a while back. I can not even find it in a search... any help would be appreciated.

I saw a post quite a while back on this, put a trash bag over the foam, then put the cover on, the trash bad will let the foam slip around enough to get it on there. Part of the problem is the friction between the foam and the leather
