Good work comes at a price. We have the expertise, experience, the best people, the best equipment, and we play by all of the rules with health insurance, liability insurance, taxes etc. It is not an easy business but we are in our 21 st year. We currently are working on 63 customer cars that are in our facilty right now. We may not be the shop for everyone, but for many we are the only shop.

Thanks Jim,
As I said, I hear you do fine work, just a little pricey and out of the average guys price league, but you're correct, you get what you pay for. What are your shop rates? How would you rate your customer satisfation?

Our Corvette Club is taking a tour of County Corvettes next Saturday May 12th. For anybody who hasn't seen this place you need to go. This is a state of art shop with all the best equipment to repair all years of Corvettes.

To hire good tech's, painters, and autobody people you have to pay them well. Now buy all of the latest equipment to work on 57 years of Corvettes and have a building to do the work in. This all comes at a price.

The last time I talked to Jim he told me they have 7 cars getting full frame offs at the same time. They must be doing something right.

If County is to pricey for you then try Stoudt's but I will bet they will be the same price!!!!

I hear they sell County Corvette T- shirts as well. Is the cover charge and tour guide included in the price of the tour? 7 frame offs at one time could mean there are 7 villages out there missing there idiots......I just want to know from people who have been there, not guys who plan on visiting and are impressed by how much they charge or how many frame offs they can handle at once. I'm not saying they are good or bad, but don't try to WOW me with numbers.

Regarding customer satisfaction, we average over 97 % as extremely satisfied. All work is followed by a telephone call then a mailed survey which I personally review. These surveys are on our front counter in a blue binder for anyone to review. It shows all jobs for the prior two years. I have had a few jobs where parts have failed or something odd occurred butwe jump to resolve them. Most of the 3% dissatisfied clients are happy with the work but suggest we are too expensive. I tell folks this: In the service business you can do things fast, right and cheap. You will however, only get two out of three. Hope we can take care of you.

First off I have been there and seen their shop. I am not trying to WOW you with numbers either. You started this with topic with telling everybody that they rape you with their prices. Instead of running your mouth about somebody business maybe you should go there and see their shop and what they do.

Sir, what I said was I "heard" they raped you.........a common term for being very expensive... as I have no first hand experience. I was soliciting responses from CUSTOMERS who had had work done, to see how they would rate the service, and compare it to their price range, which is high by anyone's standards. As the owner stated, and I agree, you get what you pay for. I'm glad to see you've seen the shop, and have the time to take tours on Saturdays, but it's painfully obvious you haven't had a frame off done there yourself. Have a great time on the tour.

$87.50/hr isn't all that far off from what the chevy dealer down the street charges. I bet county corvettes does a better job tho, since they deal with old vettes on a daily basis.

I Agree, My Chevy dealer charges 85$ per hour. I seem to be in the wrong line of work..........kinda makes you sick to think what they are paying our Troops fighting overseas, comapred to what these guys working on vettes think their time is worth.

I could not agree more. We ask our kids to go fight for our "freedom" yet deny them of reasonable pay and medical care when hurt. Do what I do, get involved in government at a local level and stand up for what you believe in.
