what tilt steering columns will fit a 69 oem or aftermarket.Changed seats and it's real tight to get out of car without t/tops removed...need tilt column....thanks
Flaming river or Ididt both make a direct replacement. A buddy put in the Flaming river in his 68, works great. A 69 has the ignition in the column right? It will cost a bit more, but worth it..

Any 1969 through 1976 OEM T&T steering column will bolt right in. You will need the hub, horn parts, and telescope lock hardware. A 1977 T&T will bolt right in. You will have to supply the 1977-1982 steering wheel, hub, horn parts, and telescope lock hardware. A 1978 through 1982 T&T column will bolt right in as long as the plastic shroud between the column and the dash is reworked. You will also need the same parts as the 1977.
That is a 1976 "Vega" T&T steering wheel, I am pretty sure that it is a 1976 T&T column behind it. The column needs an ignition switch and the turn signal switch wires seem to need the plastic harmonica connector. Also it needs the turn signal lever and tilt lever. I can't see if it needs the ignition key and/or lock cylinder.
Most people would probably not want to install the 1976 steering wheel. Personally, I would want to install a 1977-82 steering wheel and related hardware. Here is a link to a listing of parts required: http://jimshea.corvettefaq.com/wp-co...umn16FE061.doc
