I noticed in the eBay VIN area that the 9 was missing, and in his description. However, the VIN appears to be complete in the 30th photo down in what looks like the area beneath the windshield....am I missing something? :o
From: Graceland in a Not Correctly Restored Stingray
Looks good in the photos, but it might be worth a trip to go see it in person, as the camera can indeed lie (or at least not reveal the whole truth). And, what's the frame look like?
Just an ovservation. You might inquire as to why/how the rear ride height got so far above spec. May or may not be a sign of something. Also, didn't the storage compartment doors originally have pull loops? ...or not in the '69? These could be minor issues...

The seller's feedback rating does not inspire confidence. The car looks nice but as the earlier poster mentioned, get a good look at it in person before you buy it. Good luck. Let us know how you make out.
Trust me, you need to see the car in person or at least have it inspected by someone that knows these cars and you trust. I was in the same situation a month ago. Pics of new paint looked great, when I got there it was blister city. Read my post on that. The dealer said they would sell it to second place bidder. You are the second place bidder, be careful of what first place bidder passed on.
I talked to the seller today again...car sounds fantastic...but now wants $28k for the car. I initially bid on the car during the last few minutes and ended up bumping the winner's price from $21k to $24950. which is what he told me he would sell the car for....so I can't stomach buying this car for what seems to be a bunch of monkey business.
