Rear emblem on 79

How do I best install the rear corvette emblem on my 79? the emblem comes with a backing strip and should be attached with "speed nuts". However, I don't see any easy way to get plate and speed nuts on it. Is there an easy way or do you have to take the entire rear assembly off? Or has anyone used some sort of adhesive on this? Any advice would be appreciated.

You'd have to hit speed nuts from the backside of the bumper cover. Not much room up there, but you might be able to get to things. 3M makes emblem tape.

I did what Easy Mike is saying. I just put emblem tape on mine, since you can use the studs for the speed nuts as locating pins. I coudn't see any way of getting the speed nuts on there short of removing the bumper cover.
