Monterey Historics Corral!

It is that time again! BUY YOUR TICKETS FROM ME SO I CAN SECURE THE CORRAL AGAIN!
The center of the automotive universe: Monterey in August. This year the corral is on Saturday August 18. Be there, or be square or worse, drive a Mustang...

Those who know, those who have been here know that nothing tops the Historics/Concours/Auction weekend in Monterey. Here are a few pics from years past.

Here is the drill:

Corvette Corral is on SATURDAY.

ORDER YOUR TICKETS BY MAILING A CHECK AND A SELF ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE TO ME. TELL ME HOW MANY TICKETS AND OF WHICH VARIETY TO SEND YOU. I HOLD THE CHECKS UNTIL WE HAVE SOLD A MINIMUM OF 35 TICKETS TO SECURE THE CORRAL. IF YOU BUY FROM LAGUNA SECA WE DON'T GET CREDIT! ONLY BUY THROUGH ME!

That's really cool. Got any shots of the track? I've raced on Laguna Seca many times. Hours and hours of track time...on a PS2.

What a great place to live. My woman and I spent 10 days in Monterey last May (Big Sur - San Fran and everything in between). Stayed in a BIG hotel next to the municipal pier and maritime museum. The name escapes me. Anyway...

Have a great time. Wish I could be there for it.

This is off topic but I may be moving out there this fall.... Is there are corvette club out there? Does the track allow clubs or individuals to use the track?

You can definitely use the track if you go with a club. I have run Laguna with the SCCA, NASA, PCA, and BMW CCA. The only issue is that Laguna has strict noise levels that they do enforce since some rich folks live close to the track. Laguna is only alowed to have a select few dates where they can excede those noise levels (for the big races). So this can be an issue if you have a serious race car.

As for a local Corvette Club I know I have see one on these forums (look in the Norther California Regional Section). I haven't done anything with this group yet, as I am currently Vette-less.

Also it should be mentioned that the Palo Alto Concourse D'elegance at the end of June will be having the Vette as one of their featured cars this year. I expect to see some really nice cars there.
