Is that top only for parking? I didn't think you could drive w/it like incase of rain. Ecklers have a top like that which you can drive with.

I have the one from Ecklers which seems to be fine for its intended use. I have had the car up to around 75 and it did not blow off but it did have a lot of air leaks. All I wanted was an emergency rain cover and its fine for that but as far as secure like from theft or intrusion? Might as well save your money.

I'm sorry, but there is no way that thing would stay on at 75 mph!!!

Well, if you get up this way let me know and I will take you for a ride. I ran it down the interstate about 15 miles at that speed and it didn't come off.

BTW, if your gonna call , make sure it is

I tell you what. Take a pic of your Vette with that top on it, and I will take it back. Otherwise,

from Eckler's product description:

"All "Rain Coats" have been designed and tested to be used at normal highway speeds with no problems."

If yours wont stay on maybe you should have read the instructions.

If yours wont stay on maybe you should have read the instructions.

Maybe you should learn to read. The topic was about Protecto-top, from Mid America, not the rain coat, from Ecklers!! Now what is your snappy answer??

How easy is the Rain coat to install? Also does it have to have securing points left on that interfere with the T-tops later?

It's easy Dean, it attaches to the oem t-top mounts and has 2 velcro straps that fasten around the center bar. It comes with self adhesive velcro sealing strips for the front and rear that take about 10 minutes to install.
