I don't seem to understand something. The senerio is this. L79 and L46 doulble hump heads. Are they supposed to have screw in studs? I have the original engines in both cars and neither one has screw in studs with guide plates. Yes I have the books, Corvette by the numbers etc. but I am just clueless as the discription is not clear, as least to me. Motorheads please respond. Regards.
Screw in studs did not happen untill 1970 so older engines do not have them.
I know the '70 and up LT-1 had them. I know the L-82 had them in the later years when that engine was available. The L-46 used the same cam as the L-82 so you could take a leap and make the educated guess that the L-46 should have had them in '70 and up but on that I am not positive.
I am sure the '69 L-46 did not have them and no 327's had them as they are too old to get them.

The '70 L-46 did not have screw in studs. I have no first hand knowledge of the '69 L-46.
