Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Ron and I finally purchased a C3 this weekend. Sunflower yellow 72 coupe. 454 w/4 speed. I've been looking for a decent chrome bumper C3 for a while now and I'm pretty darn happy. Not new to old cars, but this is my 1st Vette. I told my wife back when we were dating that I'd have a Corvette by the time I'm 25, but I missed the target by about a dozen years, but it's OK. I finally got one and I'm looking forward to having it for a long time to come. Here's a few pics:
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on getting your C-3.
She's a beauty.
Hope you have many years of enjoyment and many trouble free miles of cruising.
Lots of good people here with lots of helpful advice if you need it.
Enjoy,
Kurt
I've got a lot of cars I really love. I've got a 73 Javelin that I'm putting a 401 in. 2 early International Scouts, a 396 powered 78 GMC Stepside, and I'm in the middle of a frame off resto of a 55 Ford PU.
The Vette is a strangely optioned car. A/C, Pwr Windows, Pwr Brakes, and Manual Steering. I might do the P/S conversion this winter, but I'm having too much fun driving it now to take it off the road.
Nice ride! But what gay engineer at Chevrolet names a Corvette paint color, Sunflower Yellow????
Welcome! Those are awesome cars and I also agree about the color name. The engineer was probably just really, really relaxed and mellow, man. I guess Donnybrook Yellow doesn't have much of a ring to it....
Hey Goob, beatiful car!
Let me ask ya a quick question...
with your hood open and your air cleaner on, How much does the air cleaner stick up over the fenders? Also, is that a Victor Jr intake?
