Used to have a 79 Vette(miss it greatly). Now have 2 C5's. Want a C3 to tinker with. Found a '77 with 90000 miles. Guy says it runs great, never been wrecked, air works, alll original, said only thing wrong is the lights have trouble going up and down sometimes. What do yall think? Said he can't go lower than $6500,Thanks
Great deal if there is no frame or birdcage rust. The headlight problem is vacuum related, and while it may be tricky to nail down it won't cost a lot to fix. Maybe a few hoses, a switch, or even a vacuum actuator or relay. Worst case you're looking at a few hundred but more than likely less than that.
I too have a '77. Post pics if you have them already.
Supposed to go look at it tommorrow,if I'm not working . Was kinda looking for a project car to play with. If this one is what he says I will be ahead of the game. BUT I have heard the same thing from other people. "IT IS A CHERRY" Then you get there and its up on blocks........... Thanks for the response..

No problem. If he'll let you, pull the kick panels out and the A-pillar trim. You want to see as much of the birdcage as you can.
Crawl under the car and check out the frame and a many of the body mounts as you can see.
Jack up the rear end, and watch the yokes. If they come out of the housing more than an 1/8th they will need work.
Get info on last brake and suspension work.
Those are some of many key points to watch out for.
Bought the '77. Not as nice as the guy said but... I bought it anyway. 96,000 miles, all original... Brought it home yesterday , Started pulling it apart today . Gonna overhaul engine ,redo interior then paint it. Looking forward to the fun.....
