Need some more help. I have a stock 72 coupe with stock A/C components. It seems that my blower motor does not blow very hard at all, even at high. Is there a high blower relay I should check, and if so, where is it? Any guidance would be of help. With the summer coming up, I'd like to get the A/C to blow a little harder and actually cool down the interior of the car. Any other ideas of what to check will be appreciated.
There is a Hi Relay. It is located on the firewall on the evap box. Check the voltage at the blower with it on high. should have 12+.
Usually a big problem is air leaks in the ducts behind the dash. Something else, the bearings bind up a bit sometimes in the blower motor, disassembly cleaning and regreasng will get the motor turning a Lot faster
Don't know about a 72', but 78' has the high speed blower relay mounted on the firewall then plugs into the blower resistors mounted in the evaporator blower box. Check that the resistors are not bad.
