Default "77 Resto update, Rusted windshield pillars (PICS)

The car has finally been painted. Here are some pics of the rusted out pillars on the lower ends of the windshield. They had to be ground out and had fresh metal welded in. After all was said and done, once the windshield was in and the car was painted I'm pretty happy. Now I just have other issues, A/C Heater, gauges, vacuum problems, dash & interior issues, ETC, ETC, ETC.

You got the lower brackets done with the front clip in place?
How did you do that?

The guy who is working on my car has been awsome so far. The windshield had to come out first, then he just took his time and welded it all in, and filled in the seems. I was there when he did it and watched him. He spent almost a full day on that project.

Did you also replace the full windshield frame or repair that also? what about the front body mounts, were those serviceable? What did that repair cost you, in total? My '73 has similar problems, and I am trying to start to get a idea of how much the cost of the repair is going to be.

The windshield frame was repaired, The top end was not that bad, only rust in the bottom. I didnt do anything about any body mounts so far, they look to be on decent shape. So far, I have not put together a total on this project, I do know that my credit cards are on fire.....
