Genuine 1978 pacecar?
Hi guys. I've been considering purchasing a 1978 pacecar. What do I need to look for to insure it's an original and not a clone?

Would you know where I could find a list to compare it to?
I found this. Is this correct?

As you know, 6502 Pace Cars but after that the numbers muddle in regards to the number of L82 4 speed cars. Any number produced is an extrapolation because those type of cross tabulations were not kept by GM corvette. They knew how many 78 cars had L82s and how many had 4 speeds but not how many had both.
Having said that, the numbers reported, speculation of course is in the range of 200-400, so the general consensus is that L82 4 speed Pace Cars are rare and the most desirable of the 78-82 model years. Probably even more desirable going back to 74 when the last 454s were installed in Corvettes.
