3 or 4 quarts for the pan is about right. You might want to change the filter while you're in there. A very easy to do "while you're at it" and you'll be surprised how much material accumulates in the pan and filter.
All will not come out because of the converter. Meassure the amount you take out, and put the same in. Remember to check the fluid whit transmission in operation temperature.
I made a drain plug in mine, when i shoited the oil.(I will be changing one a yer from now. )
Depends on whether or not you drain the converter. If you do, it will tear up most of a case. If you don't, you will be mixing several quarts of old fluid with a few fresh quarts. And use the advice of changing the filter also.
I simply check the level before starting. drain the old into a pan I can Pour into a gallon jug and i fill the other (A clean one) gallon jug with just A little more so they match and I add it done deal check once should be Exatly the same.Dont pour the bad back in HaHa
