454 approx 400-25hp..M21 with 3.36 gears
strickly a street driver 69 with 255x60 rears.
Here's my clutch options I've been milling over
Zoom zzz-30006 11" including the throwout & alignment tool $189.99
Zoom zzz-mf1675-1 10.4" w/bearing & tool.... $219.50
Hays..hay-85-114 11" w/bearing & tool ...$299.95
Centreforce ctf-dft35552 11" no bearing..no tool... $269.95
I here nothing but good about the Centerforce but is it really worth the extra $$ by the time you add the bearing?? or would either of these Zooms be completely satisfactory for my purpose

Im in the same boat. I have a Hays 11" and ordered a 10.5 because it was cheaper and found that I would have to replace flywheel. Sending it back. I just found out that NAPA has a reman complete kit for $179 and it looks allot like my Hays. Anyway Im keeping my pressure plate and just replacing the disk. Jegs/hays disk is $99 NAPA is 75..

Well now I'm confused?
Why wouldn't the 10 1/2" clutch fit?
I had a Zoom years ago that was a piece of crap. I vowed never again. I have had 3 different CF clutches in different cars and never killed any of them. I certainly tried. I now have a DF in my car and it holds everything I throw at it. A lot depends on how much HP you have and what kind of abuse you give it. A stock or mild build will not require a high performance clutch. As HP builds so does the pressure on the clutch.

Im set up for an 11". My flywheel will only accept 11" and my starter is designed to turn that flywheel.
Im just learning here too. You need to go back with the same size you have so it will bolt up to your flywheel.
What do you have?. 10 or 11?
10 or 11" is the diameter of the disk.
Heres a pic
Here is the pressure plate
The 10 " pressure plate has a different bolt pattern than the 11" so they use different flywheels. The 10" r's flywheel has less teeth and from what Im told needs a different starter.
I thought all passenger 454s had 11"?
My motor is out of a 1 ton truck & had a 12" on the flywheel,
just ordered a 11" Centreforce, hope it's the correct one
How can you really tell short of pulling the tranny? I'm curious about mine as well and don't have a clue which size I have. I thought a 70 had an 11" but I'm not sure.
Most Vettes with 350's and big blocks will have an 11" clutch. Some exceptions and all 327's will have a 10.5" from the factory.
You do not want to try to install a 10.5" clutch if it is not already equipped - it will require a lot of parts swapping and it will cost you a lot of money and there is no real benefit. Do a search if you want the intimate details.
Advice: buy a LUK, Centerforce 2, or a Hays. You will be happy with any of these.
