74 Original Calipers Value
It seems that I have the original calipers on my 74, which I am replacing with rebuilt ones.
Are the calipers worth more than the core charge of $44. dollars each?
Or this an area that does not affect the "original" status of the car?

Most cores are usually not that high. However Venders are the sole judge of the cores, whether acceptable or not. If they don't like the returned core they keep the core money making the sale that much more profitable. If you ask to sell them to the Vendor they wont want them for that reason alone. When they buy cores it will be from a core provider at a fraction of what they will charge a customer. Cores are big business.

Lonestar Capliers comes to most of the big shows, East coast anyway, They buy Vette Calipers and pay good money. Don't remember exactly what 'cause it's been a while, but better than I could have gotten other places I tried. I doubt it is worth almost $200 to keep them, but once they are gone you can never get them back.

Surely the NCRS don't even check to see if you have the original factory calipers fitted
