I need to ID this 350 block Casting number 0243880, Stamped # CFS222750
It is in a Chevy Van I think around a 92.

Maybe you're missing the first numeral Dean. I found this on Mortec.

10243880...350...95-00...2 or 4...Vortec truck, Gen.I crate motors and "ZZ4", roller cam, one piece rear seal

Thanks Len, I believe you are correct on the missing number.The block is missing heads and intake but I think it will take a standard type vortex heads and intake.
I wonder what a "ZZ4", roller cam is????

The ZZ4 is a GM crate engine. Your block should be configured for a factory roller cam. Great place to start as long as it's in good shape.

Is it better to use the factory roller cam or change to flat hydraulic and a street & strip cam?

If your block is already setup for a roller cam there's no good reason to install a flat tappet cam... You can use any aftermarket hydr. roller cam and stock style (cheap) hydr. roller lifters. You could also use a solid roller setup but that's more for racing than street....
