Default Cup Holders

Is there anybody that sells cup holders for an '81' vette? . I love my vette to death, but it really needs a cup holder. I love McDonalds Cokes in the the large size.....of coarse, and it gets mighty cold holding it between my legs .

I like these. They fit nicely and even look kind of stock. Kind of expensive but they look cool. If I allowed food and drink in my Vette I would get one of these.

Thanks Durango....your right, they are pricey but they look good and come out fast . I'm the only one that drinks in my vette so it's for me.

I finally broke down and bought one of those before spring got here. They really are worth every penny of the $40 + shipping.

I did see another cup holder on ebay in an 81 that's being sold. It sits crossways in front on the power window buttons. It's the beige 81 for sale.....take a look.

Thats the one I use. i like it because you can fit larger glasses in it, or add the inserts (which are included) and it will fit a can of soda. I did not use the supplied screws, that way you can take them out whenever you want. Works slick for me. i'd buy one again

I have the ones from Ecklers, they're nice because they have inserts to accomodate larger or smaller beverages

Man, I couldn't believe I paid almost $40 for a stinkin' cup holder! But, now that I have it, it is nice. I painted mine blue to sort of match my interior, since they only come in black.

I got mine from Corvette America.

I reckon you might be able to modify one of these from a C6 too...

I still the type that hooks over the top of the door panel. The new version has 'spring fingers' that accomadate several sizes of cups. Got it at Wal-Mart. Also have the type that fits over the console at the parking brake. It does hold the cups very secure so it sits in the back storage compartment.

Hey Guppie I liked that one too but for the '81' it says you have to use the self drilling screws . I'd rather not do any drilling.....does the brake handle hold it in place, or do you have to use the screws? .

There was somone on this forum that made a fantastic cup holder for C-3 and I bought one. It was $25 I think and it was the same thing my Mercedes Benz dealer sell for MB's.
Fits with no modifications and can be removed in 2 seconds and swapped to another vehicle. Holds various size cups right up to a large bottle.
Great product and folds up when not in use. Clips under console on passenger side and rests on the floor so it is easy to reach but not in the way of the shifter.
