Default My new Vette!

Well after searching for about a couple of months I think i found a great deal on this 81' vette, plus for 8100 i feel like i practically stole it! Right now it runs like a charm after i replaced to starter (He didnt mount it right)

Rebuilt Transmission Complete with a Street Shift Kit, Filled with Red Line Transmission Fluid, Added Finned Aluminum Pan, Installed Hurst Promatic Shifter & Dakota Digital Gear Position Indicator.

Suspension New Bilstein Shocks All Around, New Composite Mono-Leaf Rear Spring, Added Rear Sway Bar, New Poly Bushings Front & Rear Sway Bars, New Motor & Transimission Mounts, All Ball Joints, U-Joints, Pitman Arm Ect. were Inspected and replaced as necessary. Pro 4-Wheel Alignment, New Power Steering Cylinder & Pump. New BF Goodrich TA Radials Mounted on Original Rims that are in Great Condition, Rides Smooth & Looks Good!

Electrical; 80% New Wiring, Removed Computer (POS) this was the first year for Corvette to have a computer and it showed. I changed the Distributor to a new Mallory Vacuum Advance, HEI Ignition, Hot Coil, MSD Wires. Vac. Secondaries. New 100 Amp Alternator, New Interstate Battery, New Battery Cables & Added (2) Power Terminals in Engine Compartment. Added Headlight Relays & Replaced All Bulbs on entire vehicle.

Engine; New Hooker Shorty Headers, New Edelbrock RPM Intake, 600 CFM Holley, New Mallory Distributor, New Water Pump, New Thermostat, Hoses, Belts, & Gaskets. New Aluminum Radiator w/Dual Electric Fans, New A/C Condenser W/Auxilary Electric Fan. New A/c Compressor, Hoses, Drier, Fan Motor, & Controls.

Body; New Front & Rear Fiberglass Bumper Covers, Recent Quick-Silver Mettalic Paint, Removed Flip-up Headlights Installed New Fixed Buckets, Removed Vacuum System which Cleaned up under Hood. New Tinted Glass Windows & Windsheild, New (1) Piece Astro Top, All New Seals, Rear Window Loovers, New Side Exhaust (Cats Removed) Sounds Great, & Many New Emblems.

Interior; New Carpet, Guages & Curcuit Boards Replaced, Pioneer Disc Player AM/FM, Power Amp, & Infinity Speakers, New Vinyl Seats (Lots More Comfortable than original). New Seat Belts, Door Panels, Steering Wheel, Switches, & Console.

Brakes; Complete Brake Rebuild, Rotors, New Master Cylinder, Power Booster, Calipers, Shoes, & Lines.

I have some questions
1. How much hp/torque does it look like im making now?
2. I want more power so what kind of upgrades should i be looking into?( I was thinking re doing top end of motor and converting to fuel injection or some kind of engine swap)
3. How skilled mechanically wise do you have to be to install a lt1 or ls1
4. How skilled mechanically do you have to be to convert to manual
5. How much can i sell the original rims and the brand new tires for? (Planning on getting Torq thrust II)

Ill probably be posting more pictures whenever i detail it.

Yet, another very fortunate guy. I can't seem to be so lucky. That is a very nice car and the price is even better.

That is one good score. Lower the car an inch or two and she will look perfect.

Welcome aboard.

With all the money you saved on the initial sale, you should be able to put the headlight doors back on!

Pix of the interior?
