Default convo pros

I"d like to put convo pros on my 74. I did a advanced search and read a lot of threads, but just to make sure thought i would ask don"t i need 15x8.5x3.375 bs? I read so much it got kinda confusing, i think that"s what i need to order though.

Yes, you need 15 x 8.5 with 3.375 backspacing. They will stick out slightly but not bad at all. I'd recommend 15 x 7 in front and 15 x 8.5 in the read, both with 3.375 inch backspacing..

Thanks for confirming the b/s, i run 60"s all around now and will problly go to 50"s in the rear, if they"ll fit with new rims. Slightly sticking out or ballooning will not bother me.

They should work fine for you... They will stick out a little bit more in front but in the rear it'll not be by a lot.. I have 1/2 inch flares on my '68 and only the sidewall was sticking out...

Here is a shot of my '74 before it went green. I ran with Convo Pro's as well. 15X8 with a 3.75 BS will work. I even ran with the stock tire size of 225/70/15. You will get a slight rub at full turn just at the bottom of the fender by the rocker panel. Other than that it’s a sweet look. I sold mine about six months ago and went with the TT2’s to go along with the new paint. Good Luck!

Thats a great way to see both tt2"s and convo pros in your photo album, both on the same car and a 74 at that

Thats a beautiful car, in black or green. When you went to the TT II's, I presume 17 inch, did you have trouble clearing the emergency brake bracket? Same 3.75 backspacking?

No problems with either set-up. Thanks for the comments!
