I have had so many problems with the car alarm that the wonderful employees of circuitcity installed. It is a nice alarm but for some reason the car wont start sometimes (like the alarm is armed) and the door locks don’t work at all. As of right now I have pulled the fuse on the alarm but I am wondering is there a place someone can recommend in AZ that can try and undo/fix that spotty install I have already had?????
No offense, but to me car alarms are really worthless. Have you ever seen anyone react when an alarm is sounding....no. Everyone just looks and shakes their head. Real pros will beat any and every alarm, and all they are is nusiances. If they want your car, most likely they will pull up with a flatbed, winch it up and be gone within minutes.

They keep the riff-raff from busting your windows, though...I can attest to it from personal experience. My undergrad school is on the edge of a bad neighborhood, and we had a rash of break-ins in the dorm parking lot over a few weeks. The only cars that weren't bothered were the ones with alarm lights visible on the dash.

i agree with both of you the main thing i want to prevent is a smash and grab.

I don't know AZ specifically but I bet there's a Corvette specialty shop you can take it to who is familiar with the Corvette's special wiring issues. That's what I'd look for.
for taking it to a commodity installer who has high school kids woking in their shop.

I use an AutoPage XL750. When my alarm goes off, it signals the pager (about the size of a ZIPPO lighter) I have on my key ring. It's good for at least 2500 feet (about 1/2 mile). It's good if you're shopping, in an office bldg, etc etc etc. It has "notified" me several times...sometimes false alarms (thunder, trains, Harleys etc). But a couple of times it warded off potential problems (young punks leaning against the car....bumping it....you know the type)...but when I show up, they scatter like a bunch of (like Al Pacino of Scarface would say) "cockaroaches". One good thing about the pager system, is that the alarm doesn't keep going and going and going. Plus you can set it for silent alarm....no noise just your pager going off....which is a nice touch for the neighbors at night.
I heard the "next generation" will call your cell phone. WOW!! Good Luck!
