What does everyone use on their tires? Some of the pictures posted here makes the tires look like they are dripping wet. I have tried Armor All Tire Foam, but not real happy with the look. Also, it flies off the tires and on to the paint when going down the road. I have let it set and then wipe off excess but then it doesn't look as good.
(It's a single foaming spray application that goes on once, and in five minutes or less you have a perfect looking sidewall. You don't have to wipe it off and it comes right off the rims if you over spray.
There are a lot of brands on the market...some give the tires a glassy shine and some don't.
I use Vinyl and Rubber Dressing from Griot's Garage. I put it on a curved applicator made for the purpose (bought at Wal Mart) and run it around the tires...doing it that way doesn't get overspray everywhere. It gives the tires a nice, even non-glossy sheen. Griot's has some of the best car care products I've used...some are a bit pricey, but really only in comparison to products that Wal Mart sells.
first...make sure you scrub the sidewalls...Secondly...NO FOAM it all sucks compared to the good sprays, and sponge applied dressings. I recommend armor all extreme shine. it has nozzle settings for low profile tires too. also...I have found that letting it sit on the tire for about 2 minutes then lightly wiping it down with a tire sponge works really good, it keeps the sling from happening without taking the shine off!
I would like to try something that gives that wet, glossy shine - is that what the Black Magic Tire Wet foam does?
Yes. I used to use spray applications with the sponge and once I tried this new foam I will never go back. Black Magic foam is the best I have every used.
