I know that a few of you were following this last season.Well I got it home from being in storage and tore back into it.It looks ruff, but it will come around. The new flares are set in place on one side the old ones are on the other.(just to compare.)It's startin to take the shape of the drawing,Except for a few changes since then.(I went a little more radical on the nose, but I like it!)It's just settin together for pics.
Either the back end sits a little too high or Im distracted by the upward movement of the graphics.
Yeah, it is a little busy lookin.I wanted the car to have some rake to it when I put the c-4 stuff under it with out loosing travel.I think that between the graphics and the kicked up tail it has exagerated the look. The actual rake on the car is @ 1"or less.(If you look at the sidepipes you can see the rake.)
From the ground to the tip of the rear tail is 3'.
From the ground to the point of the nose is 10".(It's pretty low!)
Looking good. How do you make your shapes? Do you use a template to lay the fiberglass onto?
You aren't too far away, hopefully I can see it in person when it's finished.
I like to shape with foam and make a buckmold most of the time.
However,I did'nt do that this time.I used glass panels and pieces to build this front.(Not much different than sheet metal)I have been in contact with a man that has a fiberglass business. When it is done I want to have a mold built and make a few extra fronts.($$$ mabey)This one is a little heavy for my tastes ,but it is very strong.
I just got home from a local car cruise, there was a '30something coupe (not my specialty) painted with a two-tone metallic orange, the lighter of the two oranges was absolutely mesmarizing. With all the curves and lines on your car it would be awesome.
Since you are using the side pipes, I think you should put some horizontal vents in the rear bumper like the C5 has, where you have the cutouts for the factory exhaust. Maybe put in some wire mesh.

Keep up the pictures.
That would be cool! I have the rear cut out for tunnels,That will smoothout the bottom of the car. They will only extend to the rearend, but should look pretty good.I have some drawings somewhere?
