how much to replace a windshield?
OK, posted in OT as its not a vette but not getting much joy and want to get this sorted asap.
How much should it cost me to have a windshield to a car ( VW Karmann Ghia ) Think its pretty standard old school stuff with rubber trim instead of being glued in like todays cars.
Think I Have found a new screen for $135+shipping and am now looking to have it fitted. Car is in SoCal.
Any advice appreciated. So far best price I have been quoted is $200 which sounds fair....especially when you consider I was quoted the best part of what would be $900 here in the UK!

if you have the glass and the rubber strip then its an easy job. hardest part will be getting the old broken glass out. If you don't want to try it yourself take it to a body shop in your area.

$145 inclusive...wow! is that a local company only or do they have regional/national outlets?
My bad, I misunderstood the first quote, $200 inc new screen etc! will go with that! Thanks all.
