Hey..........I would like to take this time to thank Guy Mayberry for being my eyes 1600 miles from my home and helping me with the purchase of MY new 1972 #'s matching 73,000 mile corvette coupe
I came into contact with guy after posting for help on this forum. we discused what my objective was as far as what i was looking for in the car and he said he would have no problem taking time out of his BUSY schedual to do this for me......... me , a complete stranger
I gave guy the car owners info ,and he did the rest!! Not only did he make 2 different trips to see the car but he spent over 10 plus hours with the car.then he prepared a 3 page summary on the car for me and the previous owner to review and settle on a purchase price but the summary came to late because I made the purchase before I recieved it, But none the less it was a nice touch
After recieving the car this past thursday it was exactly as guy described it to be . i did have MANY,MANY pictures of the car but they dont show all the blemishes the paint has ,but i knew this was to be expected with a 35 year old paint job. The interior is a 9 out of 10 and the original suspention front and rear will have to be replaced
BUT...I knew that also. i just wanted a very solid car to start with and could be driven and enjoyed after replacing the suspension.And thats what i got
the car has ac/ps/pb/ tilt,a newly rebuilt tranny and a clean running motor, although the carb is too big (750 holey) The first owner had the steel cities gray painted mille miglia red before taking delivery
but i do plan on changing it back in the future SO............. for now i am going to do the suspension work ,tweek alittle here and there and enjoy the car for the rest of the summer

OH..............and he did all this WITHOUT wanting ANY compensation for his VALUEBLE TIME!!!!! but I did send him a nice THANK-YOU gift from kansas city steaks
