Default e brake console

I am just about to repair my e brake console and I noticed that it is not symetrical. If I sit it on the bench, it rocks because one side is shorter than the other (top to bottom, not front to rear). The short side is also curved along the bottom edge and the long side is straight.
Is this how it is meant to be or has bubba been busy making mods. I imagine if it is meant to be symetrical then the bottom edge was broken at some stage and someone just trimmed it back to tidy it up.
Thanks
Jeremy

Thanks John, this was not something I noticed when I pulled it apart. I only noticed it when I went to fix a crack in the top on the console. I am glad there is nothing else wrong, getting these large parts from the US is a pain and expensive. I don't mind if I am getting a bunch of stuff, but I do not need anything at the moment. I will continue with the repairs.
