10 months after I started I finally refired the car tonight. I have a vacuum leak, and some HVAC troubles to run down. I also have a problem that I can't explain. When I turn on the head lights all the lights all of my console lights comes on. Not just the back lights, but both turn signals, and the high beam indicator. Also the tack goes crazy and all of my gauges peg. If I dim the interior lights, everything goes back to normal.
I'm guessing a short, a ground, or an inductance issue. Unfortunately I’m just guessing and that covers just about every imaginable electrical issue. Anyone seen anything like this before, or have an idea where to start?
possibly a bulb in wrong or wrong type bulb backfeeding power through the ground side??
at night turn on the lights & look for a bulb dimmer than the rest, if you find one remove that bulb & see if your electrical problem goes away. if one bulb isn't dimmer than the rest just start pulling running light bulbs untill it goes away
