Default Help on new dash, 1968

So my father, brother and I have built a 1968 vette, its pretty much all done. Onlything left to do is the dash and we're gonna make one either out of some really nice wood or metal. May or may not be keeping AC. So I was just wondering if anyone has or knows of any templates or what have you. Or just advice? Putting in all dakota digital gauges.

anyways here's the car

Are you fabricating the entire dash? Upper, lower and center sections? If you're looking for mounting screw locations. etc. I would say you definitely need to pick up the AIM manual.

A custom dash would be cool depending how you design it.
Fiberglass would be my choice.
Much easier to work with then metal and a lot lighter than wood.
You can always cut and refiberglass or added filler and such to shape it perfectly. Then you could always cover it with leather or some other material.

Or you could always install those dakota gauges in a stock replacement dash. All panels are available.
There was a thread on here a while back where someone installed all dakota gauges in their C3, turned out nice. I personally like the look of autometers or the stock gauges.
Good luck.

btw, sweet car. Looks good. Those A4 seats?
