I just joined this forum a little while ago. The last cars I worked on were a 67 stang and a 69 chevy pickup. But, that was about 30 years ago. This is my first vette and really want to get into it. Any suggested reading??? I did get a C3 manual from Ecklers. I want to do alot to my 76 to make it "my car". Just hoping I am mechanically inclined enough to do things.
The manual you need is the GM Shop manual for your specific year and an AIM (Assembly Instruction Manual)
Take some pics, read thru here, look at everyon els's pics, ask questions. If your car is a driver, drive it a while and see what you want to do with it. Go to the local car nights and shows. That will give you some ideas. A lot of guys go with aftermarket wheels, I like the factory slots, my car is Tan, but will be black. I am keeping the computer, most guys ditch them.
I agree with SIXFOOTER regarding the manuals. In addition to the reading, locate your local corvette club and join it. The members usually have access to all the local resources for corvette expertise. BS'ing with them will also accelerate your learning curve. Good luck!
