Hey Guys, I was wondering. Since i haven't been able to locate a heater only control for my 79, could i possably just plug the vacum lines that go to the switch and by-pass the heater core and do without heat. I plan to do a custom interior anyway and where the switch is located would be a good place to install me some cup holders. What do ya'll think.

I think if God had wanted cup holders in a C3, she would have put them there.

Got the AIM? The vacuum source for the AC controls tee off the main vacuum line under the hood. AIM will show where to look for it. Take out the tee and you've eliminated the vacuum source for the controls.

You will still have heat. You will not have vacuum to switch from heat to defrost and no vacuum to open/close the hot water shut off valve.

Contact Corvette Mack through his store on eBay. Mack has a Corvette salvage yard outside Atlanta. Tell him what you're looking for. If he's got your part, he'll list it.

Call Gruhala Enterprises in DeSoto, MO. He might have a non-A/C controller laying around.
