good morning all , just finished putting in the motor i bought off jims 79 here on the forum into my 71 4 spd coupe job completed and hell of good strong sounding motor, unfortunately car has been sitting since last august while doing this swap , PROBLEM when i went to step on brakes pedal goes to floor , the only thing i dont understand is that there is NO fluid leaks , master is full , pump pedal but still no pressure build up AND NO LEAKAGE ANYWHERE UNDER CAR, WHAT GIVES ???? , it had great brakes before sitting 6 months ??any way i am thinking about buying a complete brake kit from a company called Muskegan Brake, anybody done biz with them ???? how is there product, they sell a corvette brake super kit which contains 4 s/s sleeved rebuilt cals ,new m/c, pads , 2 s/s brake lines , 4 rubber hoses, clips , and fluid for 369.00, any and all comments welcome thanks in advance

Probably the o-ring seals in the master cylinder piston are shot. You can get a rebuild kit that is cheap compared to replacing the whole master cylinder.

Bear in mind, if the master cylinder rear seals are bad, where did the fluid go?? You guessed it, into the power brake booster, if equipped. Before you buy ANYTHING, take the thing all apart and see what is bad and what is good. If there is fluid in the booster, it needs to be replaced, and the master cylinder rebuildt/replaced. If you are going to go to the trouble of taking it all apart anyway, plan on replacing the proportioning valve as well. Just my $.02.

is it possible that the master cyl. is just bypassing fluid within itself ??
because as i said ther are no external leaks anywhere
