Default Valve Cover Spacers

Has anyone used these. I want to use them on New style Vortec Heads. I have the factory aluminum valve covers and the drivers side roller rockers are hitting the cover. I know I might be able to grind out the aluminum to make clearance, but I am thinking of trying spacers.

Do they leak are they a pain to seal?

Thanks

You've got the Fastburn heads don't you?

I'm running Crane Gold 1:6 rockers on my Fastburns with the factory aluminum valve covers with no issues.

The cost of those spacers is pretty pricey plus you giving yourself another possible leak area.

I'd consider a new set of covers or as you said grind out the ones you've got unless it's going to need too much grinding.

Yes they are fast burn heads. Maybe there not hitting the covers. The ticking sound I am hearing is they need to be adjusted!

Just wondering if anyone has any good things to say for spacers.

Let's say (for now) I don't have any bad things to say about spacers. I'm running a Gen 1 sbc with Edelbrock aluminum heads, the B & B spacers and stock (black) Vette valve covers. I also used the blue Fel-Pro gaskets on both side of the spacer. I don't have leaks, but then I don't have a lot of miles (500) on them either.

The previous owner had tried the double-gasket trick and it left oil all over everything..... definetly NOT the way to go.
